Talented Ghanaian rapper, Awal Mohammed in an interview on Zylofone radio told Sammy Flexx, the host of Showbiz Agenda that he's way better than most Ghanaian rappers. He went ahead and mentioned a few. A few of the rappers he mentioned were Strongman, Medikal Kofi Kinaata and TeePhlow.

He also backed his claims with a diss song where he threw subliminal shots at Archipalago who passed comments about him after his previous interview with Sammy Flex on the same show. The young rapper attacked some of his industry colleagues and also made it known that he's way better than most of them and that who ever thinks other wise should kindly reply his diss track.

According to him, if any of the rappers mentioned in his song dubbed "Take it or leave it" fails to reply, he would release another song and this time he would hit them harder than before. Other music critics think it would be best if Awal directs his energy and talent into making beautiful and commercial music instead of attacking people.
Recent events shows that things are rough in the camp of OGB Music. A video trending online shows hiplife musician exchange words with his management and also allegations of him slapping his manager Ogidi Brown.

The basis of the story is that Fameye feels his management isn't giving him the necessary support he deserves as an artiste under the label. According to a screenshot we received from OGB whatsapp platform, fameye wants his management to invest in the remix of his hit single "Nothin I get". But his management feel the song is fading out and hence would like to focus on other projects as planned. Fameye then angrily replied his manager and left the group.

Check out the screenshot below.
Moments after exiting the whatsapp platform, fameye then went on to Instagram and changed his handle from FameyeOGB to Fameye_music. He also mentioned that he has parted ways with his management and they can take any legal actions if they want. As to wether he's still with OGB Music or not, it is still unconfirmed. But surprisingly, fameye made a post on his Facebook timeline apologising to his management and also begs for forgiveness for his actions against his management.

This is what he said on Facebook.

Information reaching us is that hiplife musician Fameye has allegedly slapped his manager. But according to sources closer to Fameye and his management, Fameye never slapped Ogidi Brown but there's truly a misunderstanding between Fameye and his manager OGB.

This is all what happened according to our sources.

Fameye is currently in Europe (Italy) and C.EO of OGB music, Ogidi brown also happens to be living in Italy. According to our source, ever since fameye arrived in italy, he has been alone preparing for his tour and performing all the managerial roles without the help of Ogidi Brown. The nothing i get singer has also not contacted Ogidi Brown upon his arrival in Italy.

Fameye played a show in Italy yesterday and no sign of ogidi brown at the venue, After his performance information gathered says Ogidi sent someone to the venue to collect his share of the proceeds from the show.

This is what resulted in the argument between Fameye and his management, but the singer never slapped his manager.

Kwame Dame featured on sarkodie's "BiiBi Ba" song which gave him a good amount of publicity after receiving the public's attention with a freestyle video called "welcome to Ghana". I strongly agree with Kwame Dame's name change decision. The most casual observer would bare with me that the name "FreQuency" isn't all that search engine friendly.

It is very stressful to find the rapper and his songs when you try searching for his name on google and other search engines. There are a lot of celebrities with similar issue and i would be very glad if they act fast and make a decision to protect their brand.

The rapper has announced the release of a 9 track extended play "EP". Sources closer to Kwame Dame says this is to promote his brand and his new name.Anonymox.http://www.blogger.com/profile/04494904080692695958noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2383608851974649475.post-91808152465130045642019-06-28T08:01:00.001-07:002019-06-28T09:02:36.050-07:00From Grass to Grace: Ghanaian Celebrities Who Made It From No Where

Today we are taking a look at some of our Ghanaian celebrities whom over the years have been rumored to be Dada Bees. The list we have below is not in any special order. Flip through the list below and enjoy.

1.D-Black

D-black has always been a Dada Bee, he has a foreign blood and that alone should trigger you to know he's not a poor boy. He attended some of the big schools in Ghana and is doing well on his own now with or without music.

2.E.L

Oh yes E.L is among the list of rich boys in the game. He holds a lot of degrees and before fame he was working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is indeed from a good home.. he drives a GMC which he bought way before he became a star. E.L is a confirmed Dada Bee.

3.Efya

We all know Efya, the girl whose mum used to host "Greetings from Abroad". Someone whose mum flies to different countries for a television show you need not to be told she's lived a Dada Bee life before. Something dey house.

4.M.anifest

This list would have never been complete had we left out M.anifest. He is the son of one of the renowned Lawyers in Ghana(Tsatu Tsikata). He spent almost all of his life abroad(schooling) but prefers the Madina street life. He is indeed an African boy and reps Africa but he's not the regular African boy. M.anifest is a Dada Bee.

5.D-Cryme

Another Dada Bee who shot his way to mainstream with just one hit song. Ever since, the singer/rapper hasn't had any good come back to the limelite but is still relevant with some few banging songs here and there but not a massive hit as compared to the ones he released in his early days.

6.Jay So

His accent alone should tell you something.. rumors has it that he has difficulties speaking the local dialect.

7.Adomaa

In Adomaa's case am not so sure if what am hearing is true or not. But information has it that she is the daughter of a very big man in Ghana and that due to her family's affiliations, she's been backed by her father's wealth. Aside that she has a very beautiful voice and sings so well.

8.Dee Monney

This the young chap D-Black discovered and brought him to the lime lite. According to hear say, Dee Monney is from a very wealthy home and has everything at his disposal. His working relationship with D-black didnt go quite well so for now he is working solo.

9.The Ayew brothers

Unlike other footballers who made it from no where, the Ayew brothers were living the life way before they started playing big games. They happen to be the children of Ghanaian football legend, Abedi Pele. The name rings a bell right.

10.Becca

This list would have never been complete had we left out sister Becca. Born to Mr. Acheampong, Becca has been showered with all the goodies in life since childhood. And at a point where she decided to go against her fathers will he threatened to disown her (Typical Dada Ba).

Gospel musician and multi talented singer,Joyce blessing made some confessions on the Vibes in 5 show hosted by Arnold Elavanyo. On the show, the gospel singer disclosed a few secrets about herself and her past life. Many of the few questions she answered and she aslo made it know that she loves circular music and some of the artistes she regularly listens to are Amakye Dede,A.B Crentsil,Bisa K'dei etc.

Asked which of the circular music is her favorite, she mentioned Bisa K'dei's "Brother Brother". To prove its really her favorite song, she sung a few lines of the song and yeah the song is indeed he favorite lol.Actually This is not the first time Joyce is showing interest in circular music. She was recently in the news for performing Nero X's "Osey".

Personally i love Joyce blessing for how real she is,she says it as it is and she has nothing to hide. She doesn't fake her interviews and she's very open.

Hardly do people discover their talents and even if they do,they hardly find ways to make a living out of their God given talents. Music business is one of the lucrative careers in the world.Music pays very well in countries with good structures and a very strong music industry. But in Ghana Most people think music is only for school drop outs and what we are forgeting is, there's a difference between a profession and a career. Example is Knii Lante who is a Medical Doctor by profession and music is his career.

Today we are going to be talking about 11 good Ghanaian rappers who started their music career with rap and later realised they could sing too.Like i said, hardly do people discover their God given talents and even when you do,to know what you are really good at is a different topic. Some of these musicians have either switched completely from rap to do full time singing where as some are blending both the rap and singing. Check the list out below.

1. Gasmilla

What most people do not know is that Gasmilla is a very fine rapper infact one of the best rappers Ghana's ever had yet he's doing "ASOKPO". He sings very well too and seems to be comfortable with singing, perhaps if he had focused on rap he wouldnt be making hits and making all the money he's spending today. He's served us with songs such as 3 points,... and the almighty Telemo which was a massive hit in Ghana.

2. Okyeame Kwame

Second on our list is Okyeame Kwame the Rap Doctor. Okyeame Kwame was part of the duo called "AKYEAME". He's been rapping over the years untill recently we heard him singing in most of his songs. But fortunately unlike Gasmilla Okyeame seems to be blending the two,he didn't leave one for the other. He's served us with songs like Faithful,Small Small and ....

3. Obrafuor

We are not going to say much about the Rap Sofo), we all know how good Obrafuor is when it comes to rap. Infact i can boldly say he's one of the rap legends Ghana has. He's been a role model and inspiration to some rappers like Sarkodie and M.anifest. He's a fine singer too he's featured on songs like "No short cut to heaven" by M.anifest,"Kwame Nkrumah" by E.L and Saminna by Bisa K'dei.

4. Chase

He's popularly known for hit songs like Lonely,Fire on the mountain,Got my eyes on you etc. But what people do not know is that chase started his music career as a rapper. He's won a lot of rap battles in his early days until he diverted to do full time singing. We do not know what actually triggered the change of mind but it surely paying and we cant complain.

5. Eazzy

Any one who knows Ezzy would testify that she started rapping in her early days in the music industry. Her first song Ghanaian's fell for was actually a rap song with a simple hook "Bo Won sam mami" produced by Richie Mensah of Lynxx entertainment. But now she's a full time singer hardly do we hear her rapping lately. But provided she's still doing music we are okay.

6. Lousika

Lousika too is another one,she started off very well and just when we thought the future of female Ghanaian rappers was about to take a different dimension with the help of people like Lousika, she switched from rap and started singing. Smallest time all we heard was she's pregnant now "mpo dier" she has stopped music "koraa". We pray she finds her feet and gets back to the music game.

8. Kofi Kinaata

For those of you who don't know, Kofi Kinaata is very dope rapper. He started his career in Takoradi as a rapper before Samini discovered him and signed him unto his record label "High Grade Family". I must say Kofi took us all by surprise when he suddenly started singing.

9. Fameye

"Nothin i get" hit maker Fameye was and still is a very good and talented rapper. Talk of up and coming rappers in Ghana with the best punchlines, metaphors and delivery and you can't take out the name Fameye. He is currently signed to OGB music where he's doing a lot of singing.

So there you have it, these are the few names that came to mind when i decided to write about Ghanaian musicians who used to be rappers before deciding on being a rapper. I hope you enjoyed this article, if you know of any singer who was once a rapper, kindly drop his or her name in the comment box below.
